Breakwater

I am a fickle-minded woman.

Journalist, poet, actor, pianist, singer, model, celebrity, evangelist, counselor, composer, inspiration, instigator, intellectual, academic, corporate bombshell, director, leader, mistress, girlfriend, friend, follower, hater, lover, rapper, critic, social-worker, straight-A-student, role-model, radical, revolutionary, strong, upright, appreciative, fucking perfect.

Why must I be?

I would rather sit in a pool of sweat scrubbing floors and beating rugs because I love.

I am love.

And by sitting in a pool of sweat scrubbing floors, do you wish to be less than perfect???

You are a very talented young girl. You are not what you probebly think you are, and confess to be.

You are so full of talent. Not many people are born that way, with an abundance of natural talent. It is a gift from god, which must be utilised wisely. After all many do not get the gifts you have received from god, so take advantage of it.

With great talent comes great responsibility. Many people with born talent, have not quite made it large, due to the fact that they have lacked the commitment and effort reuired to back-up the talent. With what you got, you can go places, and end up as a top achiever in this country and globally.

Forget what may have happened in the past, forget about any mistakes you may have made, if at all, just think about spending most of your time, justifing the talent/gift from god, you have received, and make god, your parents and everyone proud of you.

Nobody's perferct, that's human nature. Everybody makes mistakes, that too is human nature, but what is more important is to learn from them, and be a better person.

In life, it's never too late. Remember, you will never get many chances, to make use of them, whilst they last.

God bless you and hope your talent blossoms, and lights up the rest of the world, like the light eminating from the rising sun!

Just love this men..exactly what we feel when life is giving us too much :) if i am correct..then why would we want to be so? or is it that we are made so and that is not something we want to be?

or are you talking about going from " what they think as perfect" to what you think as life?

dnt know whether my interpretation is right..but just love the ending..it hits me hard :D

Nelie_gal: Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment its lovely to know people relate :) I think the poem arose from a difficult situation, but the writing belongs to anyone who has read and claimed it as you have, so your interpretation is not right or wrong, but only adds to what I've tried to say!

Always end up being so fucking perfect for everybody else. Know it. Makes you want to pull individual strands of your hair out, one by one, with a tweezer. :)

Most importantly, are you happy? Are you content?
